Culture & Mass Media
– The concept of cyclicity or endless repetitions of something is familiar to everyone. One of the striking examples of this can be the sound of a skipping vinyl record: a specific fragment of a phrase or musical composition, looped and played dozens and hundreds of times in the same circle or algorithm. Similar repetition principles are used in mass media (such as television, the Internet, glossy print publications) as one of the ways to manipulate mass consciousness – that is, ours. “There, information is often presented in the form of ready-made templates that actively involve existing stereotypes in the subconscious.
TV Show
– Why shouldn’t you watch 99% of the TV shows, shown on our television screens? Well, for example, because in TV shows, deliberately ideal or close to this concept situations are often played out, far from real life. Dialogues between characters are constructed to be as primitive, artificial, and at the same time, captivating for naive and unsuspecting viewers. There is a constant substitution of concepts, real values are replaced by surrogates and the viewer, sitting and watching the screen, becomes more and more like the hero of his series, acting and thinking as he does in real life.
– Very often the main customer and producer of soap operas is the state and its secret services. This is the case when the one who pays “orders the music”, determining how, how long and to what ends a particular serial “opera” will zombify the masses.
Advertising
– Another ingenious form of management and control of consciousness is advertising. It existed in one form or another before the advent of television, but it was the television era that was its real finest hour. For those who advertise on their channels, for the oligarchs and producers of advertising products, it is a multi-million and billions of dollars profit. Judge for yourself, the cost of a few minutes of advertising on one of the central TV channels in prime time comes to several thousand dollars. For so-called creatives, managers and in simple words, advertisement makers – it’s an opportunity to make fun of and experiment on our minds and consciousness by various manipulations. Only ordinary people who do not realise that they are the guinea pigs are the losers here. And such people are in the majority, otherwise the effect of advertising would not be so effective and all-encompassing.
*By the way, one of the main principles of advertising – the scourge of the current information age – is built on repetition technology.
From the outside it looks as if it is very easy to manipulate the human psyche, mould it like plasticine and use it for your own selfish ends. In principle, everything is real: if you know which buttons and levers to push. One thing is certain: you will not learn how to do it at school. The unchanging truth of human existence – the strong manipulate the weak or, rather, having some knowledge of “destructors” (aka System agents) graze and from time to time, “cut the hair” from their ignorant “sheep”, which only do that all the time to set up.
The cruel reality? Possible. The Matrix? Without a doubt. Do the “batteries” deserve to be manipulated? Here, you may feel pity and indulgence towards such people. You may say that they are stupid and do not understand anything. But they are still PEOPLE! They all have a brain (at least in the anatomical sense of the word), the ability to think analytically, and their own unique vision of the world. They are humans, not chimpanzees or laboratory rats under a cap in some abandoned basement laboratory. Although even these animals are endowed with considerable intelligence compared to other representatives of the animal kingdom. The key question, perhaps, is not why people are so stupid or why they are susceptible to various manipulations in principle. The main thing is why they are so EASILY led by them?
– It can be confidently stated that television today primarily serves power or capital: mainly large business corporations. The information broadcast by television channels loyal to the authorities cannot be objective, enlightening, or developing. Therefore, they, in one way or another, serve the interests of the System with all the resulting consequences.
Therefore, one must be very attentive and selective when switching channels on the remote control, as information traps are everywhere, ready to activate and begin their destructive activity as soon as you tune in to their frequency. Modern society demands “bread and circuses,” and television, along with yellow press, political and religious literature, the internet, etc., is already here and ready to fully satisfy all the growing and insatiable demands of the new era human. But perhaps it is worth occasionally thinking about it, simply putting the television remote aside and instead picking up a regular (or electronic) book? It feels much more pleasant, and the harm is multiplied many times less.
Conclusion line of the section Culture & Mass Media
Personally, it is obvious to me that a person who sets high goals for himself, constantly analyses what is going on around him, scanning the surrounding reality through the “object of common sense vision”, is unlikely ever to become a drugged-out customer of “yellow” publications, television or the Internet. Nor is he likely to waste his invaluable vital energy on all sorts of informational “rubbish”, just as a man who has bathed in a clean, cool lake is not likely to do so afterwards in a muddy, dirty body of water. Fortunately, his mind is still able to distinguish the real from various fakes and substitutes. And the latter, alas, abound in our unstable and fast-changing world. One of the tasks of this book is to make sure that there are more and more such type of people with a “core” inside.

The Book of Your Life
“Stepping outside the System is not an open, destructive war. It is the creation of an underground, far-reaching network of free people united by a single noble goal.”
